Position:                     Bilingual Second Grade Teacher 

 

Location:                    West Elementary School

 

 

Description: The Aubrey Independent School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of  Bilingual First Grade Teacher in our high-quality bilingual program. The appointee will report directly to the campus principal.

 

Qualifications:    Appropriate certification; Prekindergarten requires appropriate certification along with special education (preferred) and bilingual certifications.

                             AND one of the following:

1. A graduate or undergraduate degree in early childhood education or early childhood special education or a non-early childhood education degree with a documented minimum of 15 units of coursework in early childhood education;
2. A Child Development Associate (CDA) credential;
3. A certification offered through a training center accredited by Association Montessori Internationale or though the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education;
4. At least eight years’ experience of teaching in a nationally accredited childcare program;
5. Documented completion of the Texas School Ready Training Program (TSR Comprehensive); or
6. 150 hours of professional development addressing the 2015 Texas Prekindgarten Guidelines.

 

 

Appointment:     The principal on the basis of training, experience, and interest will recommend the appointment of this position to the Superintendent.
